BCL2 expression is reduced following transfection with miRNA mimics. miR-15a, miR-16 and miR-34a are predicted to bind to the 3’UTR region of the BCL2 mRNA and negatively regulate its expression. (A) Transfection with mimics (1 nmol/L) for miR-15a, miR-16 and miR-34a were shown to reduce BCL2 mRNA levels after 24 h in MSTO-Par and resistant cell lines compared to transfection with a control as demonstrated by RT-qPCR.
