Guest Editors
Special Issue Introduction
Cardiovascular disease remains the foremost cause of mortality and disability among women globally, has historically received insufficient attention challenges in prevention, diagnosis, and treatment . This the multifaceted nature of CVD in women biological and clinical perspectives. highlights advancements in sex-specific risk stratification, such as the role of epigenetics in CVD susceptibility, and evidence-based strategies for managing high-risk populations. also emphasizes the need for tailored interventionsfrom lifestyle modifications to to address inequities in healthcare access and outcomes. By synthesizing insights from epidemiology, molecular biology, and public health, this issue aims to redefine CVD care paradigms for women, fostering precision medicine and global collaboration to reduce the growing burden of CVD.
Proposed topics include, but are not limited to:
1. Epidemiology and Risk Factors of Cardiovascular Disease in Women: Global Trends, Regional Disparities, and Mortality Patterns Driven by Sex-Specific Risk Factors;
2. Atherosclerosis in Women: Gender-Specific Regulation of Immune Metabolism and Microvascular dysfunction;
3. Metabolic Risk in Women: The association between basal metabolic rate(BMR)and vascular disease risk in women;
4. Estrogen in Women's Health: A Multifaceted Role in Physiology, Disease, and Therapeutic Interventions;
