Special Issue Introduction

In this Special Issue of Journal of Translational Genetics and Genomics (JTGG), we invite you to submit original research articles, reviews, or shorter perspective pieces focusing on the topic “Human Early Embryonic Development and Novel Technologies in Preimplantation Genetic Testing (PGT)”. We particularly encourage submissions that explore genetic and epigenetic factors influencing human embryonic development and innovative advancements in PGT. Relevant topics include, but are not limited to:

● Genetic regulatory mechanisms during key stages of embryonic development;

● The impact of epigenetic modifications on embryo implantation and early development;

● Advancements in genomic screening for single-gene PGT;

● Embryo selection strategies based on polygenic risk scores;

● Mechanistic insights into chromosomal aneuploidy and early developmental failure;

● Applications and challenges of next-generation sequencing in PGT;

● Ethical and sociological considerations in PGT technologies;

● Artificial intelligence and machine learning in PGT data analysis;

● Exogenous and endogenous factors influencing the epigenetic state of embryos;

● Genomic insights into fertility preservation strategies.

Recent advancements in embryonic genetics and epigenetics have provided transformative insights into optimizing PGT technologies, enhancing the success rates of assisted reproduction, and uncovering the fundamental mechanisms of human embryonic development. These studies not only advance our understanding of embryogenesis and genetic diseases but also pave the way for more precise genetic screening and diagnostic tools.

We look forward to your contributions to this important and rapidly evolving area of research.
