Special Issue Introduction
With the widespread use of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies in various applications such as autonomous driving, industrial IoT, health care, and language processing, integrating AI, including machine learning (ML), into network security has become a critical frontier. This Special Issue embarks on an exploration of the nuanced opportunities and challenges stemming from the infusion of AI, shedding light on its multifaceted impact on fortifying network security.
The Special Issue encourages researchers and practitioners to contribute their insights and expertise on diverse topics intersecting AI and network security. Some of the key areas to be covered include:
● AI-Driven Threat Detection and Mitigation;
● Design and Verification of AI-based Security Solutions;
● Generative Adversarial Networks (GAN) for Attacks and Defenses;
● AI-based Cybersecurity Techniques for IoT, IoE, IoH, and IoV;
● Applications of AI/ML in Network Security;
● Explainable AI in Security Analytics;
● Human-machine Interaction in the Context of Network Security;
● AL/ML in Authentication and Authorization;
● AI and ML for Intrusion Detection/Prevention in Network Environments;
● Advanced AI Techniques to Secure Future Internet Architectures/Protocols.
We invite original contributions from academics, research students, and professionals. Extended conference papers are also welcome, provided they have been revised substantially and contain at least 50% new content (if submitting a previously published proceedings paper, ensure the revised research paper accompanies it).
