Special Issue Introduction
This Special Issue aims to highlight novel ideas, cutting-edge research, and promising developments in the field of energy materials with a focus on zero carbon technologies. We invite high-quality original contributions, both theoretical and experimental, that delve into various aspects of energy materials relevant to achieving zero carbon goals. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to, advancements in solid oxide fuel cells, electrolysis cells, hydrogen production, CO2 reduction, and energy transmission technologies. We encourage submissions that address recent developments in material science, including new materials and preparation methods, electrochemical behavior of electrodes and electrolytes, energy efficiency enhancements, and modeling of energy conversion systems. Contributions exploring single-cell, stack, and hybrid systems, as well as numerical simulations and mechanisms of material degradation, are also welcome. This issue seeks to bring together innovative research that contributes to the advancement of energy materials and technologies critical for achieving sustainable and efficient zero carbon solutions.
