Electrochemical capacitors have garnered significant attention in recent years due to their unique energy storage capabilities, bridging the gap between conventional capacitors and batteries. They offer high power density, rapid charge/discharge rates, and long cycle life, making them indispensable in various applications ranging from portable electronics to electric vehicles and grid energy storage systems. The performance of electrochemical capacitors is primarily determined by the materials used in their construction, which has driven extensive research into the development and optimization of these materials.
This Special Issue, titled "Latest Advances and Challenges in Electrochemical Capacitor Materials", aims to provide a comprehensive overview of the recent progress and emerging challenges in this dynamic field.
