Topic: Innovations in Polymer Solid Electrolytes for Lithium and Beyond
Guest Editors
Special Issue Introduction
The development of polymer solid electrolytes (PSEs) has gained increasing attention due to their potential to revolutionize energy storage technologies. Compared to conventional liquid electrolytes, PSEs offer enhanced safety, improved electrochemical stability, and greater design flexibility for next-generation batteries. This Special Issue aims to explore recent advances in polymer-based solid electrolytes, covering novel material designs, ion transport mechanisms, fabrication techniques, and their integration into lithium and post-lithium battery systems.
We welcome original research articles and review papers on topics including, but not limited to:
● Advanced PSE materials and composites;
● Ion transport mechanisms and conductivity enhancement strategies;
● Interface engineering and stability in solid-state batteries;
● Applications of PSEs in lithium, sodium, potassium, magnesium, and zinc-based batteries;
● Scalable fabrication methods and industrial applications;
● Theoretical modeling and simulation of polymer electrolytes.
This Special Issue provides a platform for researchers to share cutting-edge developments and address the challenges in PSEs, paving the way for safer and more efficient energy storage solutions.
