Topic: Multi-modal Data and AI Technologies in Medical Diagnosis and Surgery

This Special Issue is dedicated to exploring the transformative role of multi-modal data and AI technologies in advancing medical diagnosis and surgical practice. By integrating diverse data sources such as medical imaging, genomics, electronic health records, real-time physiological signals, and robotic-assisted surgical data, these technologies offer unprecedented opportunities to enhance clinical decision making, improve diagnostic accuracy, and optimize surgical outcomes through enhanced preoperative planning and intraoperative decision support.

We invite contributions that demonstrate how multi-modal data and AI can be effectively tailored to address complex medical tasks across various domains. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to, leveraging AI to enable precision medicine, developing intelligent systems for real-time surgical guidance and robotic-assisted platforms, and utilizing advanced analytics to interpret multi-modal medical data for perioperative optimization. We welcome both original theoretical and experimental studies, as well as comprehensive reviews.
