The Editors of The Journal of Cardiovascular Aging attended the 9th Meeting of North American Section of the IACS and the 41st ISHR meeting

The 9th Meeting of North American Section of the International Academy of Cardiovascular Sciences (IACS) and the 41st International Society for Heart Research (ISHR) meeting was successfully held from September 6 to 9, 2022, in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. The Journal of Cardiovascular Aging (JCA) was presented at the meeting as an official journal of IACS and a sponsor of the scientific meetings.

The theme of the meeting was “Advances in Cardiovascular Science and Medicine Through Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion supported by Education, Research, and Technology Innovation”. This cardiovascular scientific meeting was comprised of 27 scientific symposia and brought together the top cardiovascular scientists, clinical cardiologists, research fellows and trainees from all over the world. There was a special focus on early and midcareer investigator programs. Dr. Priyatansh Gurha and Dr. Na Li, members of the JCA Editorial Board, attended the early and midcareer investigator forum.

Several Editorial Board members of the JCA attended the meeting. Prof. Lorrie Kirshenbaum, the Consulting Editor of the JCA, served as the meeting Chair, and Prof. Naranjan S. Dhalla, the Senior Advisory Editor, served as the Honorary Chair of the meeting. The Editor-in-Chief of the JCA, Prof. Ali J. Marian, and the Associate Editor, Prof. Roberto Bolli, are members of the Advisory Board. In addition, Prof. Marian made a presentation at the meeting and introduced the JCA to the participating scholars and researchers, which brought widespread attention to the journal. Prof. Marian received the Jawahar (Jay) Mehta Clinical Scientist Award. Congratulations!

The JCA is committed to building a premier, most desirable, and entirely transparent international platform for the dissemination of state-of-the-art basic, translational, and clinical studies in aging and cardiovascular disease. In the future, JCA will continue to participate in and hold academic conferences, publish more high-quality research, and work with researchers in this field to promote the development and advancement of cardiovascular medicine!
