Professor Kang is a Deputy Director, Professor, and Principal Investigator at the State Key Laboratory of Oncology in South China, Sun Yat-sen University Cancer Center. He received his Ph.D. from Bielefeld University in 2003 and completed postdoctoral training at MD Anderson Cancer Center and Washington University in St. Louis from 2004 to 2008. As the corresponding author, Professor Kang has published over 50 papers in leading international journals, including Nature Cell Biology, Nature Cancer, Cell Research, Science Advances, Journal of Clinical Investigation, and Nature Communications, among others.

Professor Kang has received numerous prestigious accolades. He is a distinguished "Changjiang Scholar" Professor appointed by the Ministry of Education and was awarded as a Distinguished Professor from NSFC and Ministry of Education of China in 2011 and 2014, respectively. In 2019, Professor Kang was awarded as a Distinguished Scholar Professor of Guangdong province.

The Editorial Office of Extracellular Vesicles and Circulating Nucleic Acids warmly welcomes Professor Kang to the Editorial Board. We look forward to the valuable expertise and perspectives he will bring to the journal and the field!
