Welcome Professor Liwen Jiang from The Chinese University of Hong Kong as the Associate Editor of Extracellular Vesicles and Circulating Nucleic Acids

We are delighted to announce that Prof. Liwen Jiang has joined the Extracellular Vesicles and Circulating Nucleic Acids journal as the Associate Editor, effective September 19, 2024, for a renewable two-year term.

Prof. Jiang holds the prestigious title of Choh-Ming Li Professor of Life Sciences at The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK). He is the Director of the Cell and Molecular Biology (CMB) Program, the Centre for Cell and Developmental Biology, and the RGC-AoE "Centre for Organelle Biogenesis and Function". He also leads the Institute of Plant Molecular Biology and Agricultural Biotechnology (IPMBAB).

Prof. Jiang’s research focuses on the underlying mechanisms of protein transport, vesicle trafficking, and organelle biogenesis and function in plants. His team has been internationally recognized as a leading group in the field. He has published over 200 high-impact research papers in renowned journals such as Nature Plants, Nature Communications, PNAS, Current Biology, and Plant Cell. His teaching and research have been honored with several awards, including the Higher Education Outstanding Scientific Research Output Awards 2017 from the Ministry of Education of PRC, and the RGC Senior Research Fellowship (2021/22). In addition to his research, Prof. Jiang has extensive editorial experience. He currently serves as the Editor-in-Chief of Plant Science and is an Editorial Board member of several prestigious journals, including JIPB, Plant Cell, Molecular Plant, and Science China.

The Editorial Office of Extracellular Vesicles and Circulating Nucleic Acids warmly welcomes Prof. Jiang to the Editorial Board. His extensive expertise and experience will significantly contribute to the journal’s development and impact in the field of plant extracellular vesicles.
